Description of Services...

​

Involvement included the initial CMR proposal, client interview, and award. Responsibilities encompassed the conceptual and schematic design preconstruction deliverables. The conceptual design phase consisted of rigorous public workshops that resulted in five initial concepts. Each concept required an estimate and cost comparison before finalizing a concept and seeking approval to move to schematic design.  A collaborative stakeholder meeting was also held early on in the design to create a cohesive multidisciplinary approach to the design phase schedule.  This ensured that all stakeholders had critical buy-in to GMP delivery and starting construction on time.  Ultimately, Gilbane delivered the GMP on budget and built a beautiful lasting asset to the community.

Unique design elements include systems designed to Net-Zero energy performance, attachment to occupied existing branch library, partial demolition of an existing structure and renovation of the existing to remain elements, state of the art interior design and a universally designed playground.
