Description of Services...
Named after Frederick Douglass, Douglass High School was built in 1941 as the first high school dedicated to serve black students in Loudoun County, VA. Subsequent additions were built in 1950 and 1960. The original 1941 building was completely restored, while the additions received a mix of restoration and renovation efforts. The surrounding grounds received a facelift as well, including a new playground, outdoor education spaces, amphitheater and educational signage. The campus was officially rededicated in 2023 as the Historic Douglass High School Education and Development Campus housing administrative and recreation spaces for multiple county entities.
